Our wheel throwing classes concentrate on the basics of the craft for beginners and as well as those with throwing experience who want to improve their skills. Fundamentals of throwing, trimming and glazing techniques will be taught for many functional forms including bowls, plates, mugs and pitchers. Demonstrations and technical information are provided with attention to individual needs. This class allows students to work within its structure at all levels of experience.

All class tuitions are $210 per seven week session
Tuition includes 25 lbs. of clay and unlimited
access to the studio during regular studio hours:
Mondays - Thursdays 9:00 am - 9:00 pm
Fridays 9:00 am - 5:00 pm
Saturdays 9:00 am - 7:00 pm
Sundays 12:00 noon - 5:00 pm

CLASS/WORKSHOP REFUND POLICY
If a student drops a class up to seven days before the start of the session or two weeks before a short term workshop, tuition will be refunded except for a $60.00 (or $20 for Children’s Workshops) non-refundable registration fee. NO REFUNDS WILL BE MADE AFTER THIS DATE. No refunds will be given for missed classes. Make-ups may be arranged in a similar class, during the same session, if space permits.

SENIOR DISCOUNTS
Senior citizens (62 years and older) will receive a 10% discount on tuition for any seven week class.

	Adult Classes - Session 2 : February 25 - April 12

	SCULPTURAL SLAB BUILDING All levels class Mondays 9:30 am - 12:30 pm SIDDIQ KHAN	Siddiq Khan Slab construction techniques are the basis for much handbuilt ceramic work. This class will explore planning and executing sculptural forms made from slabs with attention to the integrity of construction. Along with fired surfaces, we will also experiment with mixed media surfaces such as paint, uses of paper additions, grogged surfaces and crackled textures made with wire and wire mesh. Some non-functional surfaces may require multiple firings.
	HANDBUILDING WITH EARTHENWARE All levels class Thursdays 9:30 am - 12:30 pm CHERYL CROWNOVER Lab fee: $20	Come experiment with the colorful palette of low fire decoration and glazing. This class will focus on surface techniques for red and white earthenware pottery and sculptural forms. Stencilling, sgraffito, the use of slips and terra sigillata will all be presented among a variety of surface options. Basic handbuilding techniques will be taught.
	HANDBUILDING & SCULPTURE All levels classes Tuesdays 9:30 am - 12:30 pm SHEREEN LOBDELL Thursdays 6:00 am - 9:00 pm EDIE TSONG	Our handbuilding and sculpture classes focus on developing and refining clay forming skills and exploring form and surface for both functional and sculptural work. Basic construction techniques such as coil, slab, and assemblage will be covered, along with surface treatment, texture and glazing. This class is structured for all levels of experience and will combine group demonstrations with individual attention from the instructor.
