Established in 1974 as a ceramic supply business, Santa Fe Clay is the longest existing business in the Santa Fe Railyard. Arriving in 1994, Avra Leodas became the director, adding a full schedule of classes for all ages, and establishing the Summer Workshop Program, bringing masters in the field to teach week-long intensive workshops. The gallery was built in 1998 showcasing the work of artists from the national field in monthly exhibits.
