THE
STUDIO
Santa Fe Clay occupies a 10,000
square-foot warehouse in the historic Railyard District in downtown Santa
Fe. Our facility includes a complete retail supply business, gallery,
and fully equipped studio. It is also home to twenty resident ceramic
artists. Our year-round classes and workshops provide an inspirational
and creative environment for students ranging from children to adults,
from beginners to professionals. This will be our fifteenth Summer Workshop
Session, and our reputation is firmly established for bringing quality
programming, including nationally recognized artists, to the Santa Fe
area. Our expanded gallery enhances the scope of the Southwest’s
most complete Ceramic Art Center. We are open to the public year-round
and visitors are always welcome to tour the shop, gallery and studios.
REGISTRATION

with any questions about a particular class or workshop before you sign
up. Registration should be made as soon as possible; enrollment is limited
and classes and workshops will be filled on a first-come, first-served
basis. We require full tuition and lab fees at the time of registration.
This payment reserves your space, and includes a $80 (Adult) or $35 (Children)
non-refundable registration fee per class. You may register by mail, by
phone, or in person. We accept personal checks (payable to Santa Fe Clay
Co.), money orders, or Visa/Mastercard, Discover and American Express
cards. Please read specific refund policies for workshops.
TUITION
& FEES
Fees listed for each class are
for instruction only. Participants should anticipate, unless otherwise
noted, additional costs for clay, tools and firings. All students and
studio members pay firing fees of 3.0¢ per cubic inch. This fee, per piece,
covers bisque firing, use of all our shop glazes, and the cone 10 glaze
firing.
We
reserve the right to cancel, combine or reschedule classes to adjust for
enrollment. If a class is cancelled, students will be offered the option
of another class or a full refund.
STUDIO
OPTIONS
We have different options
for people wishing to use our studio facility:
1. TAKE A CLASS Tuition: $240 for 7 weeks, 3 hours of
instruction per week plus unlimited access to the communal studio during
regular studio hours.
2. TAKE A WORKSHOP: See specifics of each workshop
3. COMMUNAL STUDIO USE $180/month. Communal studio rental
includes access to all equipment, glazes and firing facilities. This is
a month-to-month rental, one month minimum, previous clay experience is
required.
4. PRIVATE STUDIO RENTAL We have 11 private studios (approximately
115 sq. ft. each) which we rent on a monthly basis. Rental includes access
to all studio equipment and firing facilities.
PRIVATE LESSONS
We
are now offering private lessons for all ages.
$50/person/hour (+ tax); 2 hour minimum
